1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (200g) brown sugar
½ cup (100g) white granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2¾ cups (340g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups (350g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but centers remain soft.
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
