If you’re looking for a simple, fun, and indulgent snack, Banana Chocolate Pops are the perfect choice. This recipe combines the natural sweetness of bananas with the rich taste of chocolate, creating a frozen treat that kids and adults alike will love. Perfect for summer or as a delightful dessert after meals, these pops are easy to make and can even be customized with toppings like nuts, sprinkles, or coconut flakes.
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas
1 cup dark or milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
Popsicle sticks
Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut
Instructions:
Prepare the Bananas:
Peel the bananas and cut each into halves or thirds, depending on your preferred size. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana piece.
Freeze the Bananas:
Place the banana pieces on a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 1–2 hours until firm.
Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
Dip the Bananas:
Remove the bananas from the freezer. Dip each frozen banana into the melted chocolate, letting the excess chocolate drip off.
Add Toppings:
Quickly sprinkle your favorite toppings onto the chocolate-coated banana before it sets.
Freeze Again:
Place the chocolate-dipped bananas back on the parchment-lined tray and freeze for another 30–60 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Serve & Enjoy:
Your Banana Chocolate Pops are ready to be enjoyed as a fun snack or dessert!
