Goa to attract global tour operators at the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) Jaipur from April 26–28th

India’s coastal state of Goa will host its pavilion at the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB), to be held from April 26–28 in Jaipur, to showcase its prowess in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segment to global tour operators.

In India, the MICE segment accounts for nearly 60 percent of the total tourism spend and has a significant multiplier effect on the economy in terms of accommodation, travel, employment, among others.

As per the last available industry report, India’s estimated market size for the MICE segment is ?35,676 crore, which is likely to have more than doubled by now.

Some of the co-exhibitors from Goa at the state pavilion include Freedom Holidays, Restare Hospitality, De Mandarin, Whispering Palms, Baale Resort, Ria Hospitality, Azara Resort, Concord Exotic Voyages, Ocean Palms, Airsonic Holidays, The Tanisi Hotels, Aguada Fort, Goa Miles, Travelsmith Adventure, Lets Goa, Fly 91, Welcome Heritage Panjim Inn, and Zense Resort, among several others.

Minister For Tourism, Government of Goa, Mr. Rohan A. Khaunte, said, “Over the past several years, Goa has established itself as a premier global MICE destination. We now aim to elevate this position further by moving beyond beaches and creating a year-round, high-value business tourism ecosystem supported by enhanced infrastructure.”

Director of Tourism, Government of Goa, Mr. Kedar Naik, said, “By blending International-standard infrastructure with local authenticity, Goa offers venues that meet world-class standards while remaining rooted in Goan culture, ideal for high-profile corporate gatherings.”

Held over the past 14 years and now in its 15th edition, GITB is an exclusive inbound tourism initiative that brings together leading stakeholders of the Indian tourism industry, including State Tourism Boards, Hotels and Resorts, Destination management companies, and Tour operators, to showcase their offerings under one platform.
