Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta
Ingredients:
200g of pasta (spaghetti, penne, or your favorite type)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of butter
1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Boil water in a large pot and add a pinch of salt. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Once done, drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water for later.
Prepare the Sauce:
While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant, but not browned.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally.
Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Add the drained pasta into the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
Add in the grated Parmesan cheese and toss again until the cheese melts into the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.
Season and Serve:
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top before serving.
Serving:
Serve your creamy garlic Parmesan pasta hot. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
