Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Toasted Bread

Ingredients:

For the dip:

1 cup cooked, chopped spinach

1 cup canned or jarred artichoke hearts (drained and chopped)

200 g (about 7 oz) cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

½ cup mayonnaise

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 garlic cloves, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: a pinch of red pepper flakes or nutmeg

For the toasted bread:

1 baguette or rustic bread, thinly sliced

Extra virgin olive oil

Garlic (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. Make the dip:

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.

Add the spinach, artichokes, garlic, Parmesan, and mozzarella.

Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices like red pepper flakes or nutmeg.

Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish.

3. Bake:

Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

4. Prepare the toasted bread:

Place the sliced bread on a baking tray.

Lightly brush with olive oil.

Optional: Rub each slice with a garlic clove for extra flavor.

Bake for 5–7 minutes until crispy and golden.

5. Serve:

Serve the warm dip with the toasted bread.

Perfect for parties, potlucks, or cozy appetizers.
