Actor Tusshar Kapoor’s debut film, *Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai*, recently completed 25 years in the film industry. Elated by this milestone, the actor reminisced about his first meeting with the film's lead actress, Kareena Kapoor.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Tusshar Kapoor revealed that his first encounter with Kareena Kapoor (Bebo) took place in Kashmir. At the time, Kareena had traveled there to watch the filming of her uncle Rishi Kapoor’s movie, *Sheshnaag*. Her uncle and Tusshar’s father, Jeetendra Kapoor, were also working there.
"We didn't meet much during our childhood—perhaps only once or twice," Tusshar said. Recalling that initial meeting, he added, "I met her in Kashmir. In 1988, Chintu Uncle (Rishi Kapoor) was shooting with my father and had brought his nieces along."
Tusshar mentioned that following their meeting in Kashmir, he did not cross paths with Kareena for another 12 years, although they occasionally ran into each other within their social circles as they shared some common friends.
Even during the filming of *Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai*, there wasn't much interaction between the two. Tusshar explains that he was entirely focused on his performance and on ensuring the film was completed successfully.
On May 25th, marking the 25th anniversary of his debut film *Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai*, Tusshar Kapoor also penned an emotional post. He wrote, "25 years ago, on May 25th, my journey as an actor began. This film gave me not just a debut, but memories to last a lifetime. It feels surreal to think about how quickly time has flown by."
Tusshar expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported him throughout his cinematic journey. He said, "I am deeply grateful to my director, co-actors, the entire team, my friends, family, and especially the audience. Over these past 25 years, you have all showered me with so much love. Please continue to stand by me in the same way in the years to come."
