Father’s Day is a heartfelt celebration of the
love, sacrifices, and unwavering support that fathers provide. It is a day when
children honour their dads with tokens of affection, cherished memories, and
thoughtful gestures. This Father’s Day, &TV actors take a nostalgic
trip down memory lane, sharing touching stories that highlight the joy and
pride of fatherhood. These include Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh,
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) and Rohitashv Gour (Manmohan Tiwari, Bhabiji Ghar Par
Hai). Yogesh Tripathi, popularly known as Daroga Happu Singh,
shares, “My two children are my world, and their presence fills my life with
endless happiness. A few years ago, my son Dakshesh – my little Happu in the
making – gave me the sweetest surprise. He dressed up exactly like me as Happu
Singh, with slicked-back hair, the signature moustache, and even carried a tiny
‘Nyochavar’ pocket! Strutting around the living room with my accent and
confidently saying, ‘Niyocchavarkar do!’, he left us all in splits. I was
laughing and tearing up at the same time. In that moment, I saw my biggest fan
and my most adorable critic rolled into one. That impersonation – innocent,
loving, and full of spirit – remains one of the most heartwarming gifts I have
ever received.”
Rohitashv Gour aka Manmohan Tiwari fromBhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “Daughters just understand you – their love is deep, instinctive, and incredibly thoughtful. I am blessed with two such daughters, and they have always made Father’s Day special. But last year stands out. My elder daughter, Giti, made a surprise trip back to Mumbai from the US, where she is pursuing her studies. Together with my younger one, Sanjiti, they planned a weekend escape to a peaceful hill station called Mahabaleshwar. They booked a cosy cottage, arranged my favourite meals, and ensured I could completely unwind. It was the break I did not know I needed. We even took a beautiful photo at a scenic spot – it is now framed and sits proudly on my wall. That gesture spoke volumes of their love, and I will always cherish it.”
