Holi the festival of colours is all about
laughter, celebration, and vibrant hues painting the town with joy. But while
the festivities leave behind cherished memories, they can also leave the skin
feeling dry, irritated, and stained with stubborn colours. For actors who are
always in the spotlight, skincare is not just a routine but a necessity. From
protective pre-Holi rituals to post-celebration recovery, &TV stars share
their go-to skincare tips to keep their skin glowing and healthy even after
playing Holi to the fullest. These include Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh,
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi,
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Geetanjali Mishra aka Rajesh
from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan shares, "Holi is my absolute
favourite festival! I love the energy, the colours, and the joy it brings, but
I never compromise on my skincare. Before stepping out, I slather coconut or
almond oil on my skin and hair this acts as a barrier against colours and makes
removal easier. Sunscreen is non-negotiable, even if the sun is playing peek-a-boo.
And I always opt for organic colours to minimize damage. After the fun, I
gently cleanse my skin, apply soothing aloe vera gel, and hydrate inside and
out! A simple curd and honey face pack is my secret weapon for returning the
glow. These little steps let me enjoy Holi without worrying about post-festival
skin woes!”
Shubhangi Atre aka Angoori from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, "Holi is pure joy, but let’s be honest it can be brutal on the skin. As an actor, my skin is my canvas, and I treat it carefully. My prep starts a week in advance with intense moisturizing and hydration treatments. On Holi morning, I apply a thick layer of coconut or olive oil think of it as an invisible shield! After the celebrations, I use a mild cleanser followed by a calming face mask to pamper my skin. Hydration is key, so I make sure to drink plenty of water to flush out any toxins. This routine helps me enjoy the festivities without a second thought about skin damage!”
