In today's times, hair loss is becoming a common yet serious issue. Poor lifestyle choices, the rising trend of fast food, irregular daily routines, and increasing stress are disrupting the body's balance, directly impacting hair health. People often attribute hair loss solely to external factors and keep switching shampoos or hair products; however, experts state that true hair strength depends on internal nutrition.

When the body does not receive essential vitamins and minerals, hair roots weaken, and the problem of hair loss escalates.

Health experts explain that the proper delivery of nutrients and oxygen to the hair roots is crucial. Iron plays a vital role in this process. It helps the body produce hemoglobin, which transports oxygen via the bloodstream to every part of the body. An iron deficiency prevents adequate oxygen from reaching the scalp, causing hair follicles to weaken and leading to rapid hair loss.

Similarly, Vitamin D plays a significant role in hair growth. This vitamin helps keep hair follicles active, promoting the growth of new hair. A Vitamin D deficiency slows down the formation of new hair while causing existing hair to fall out; over time, the hair begins to look thin and lifeless.

Vitamin B12 is another essential nutrient for hair. It aids in the production of red blood cells in the body. A B12 deficiency lowers blood oxygen levels, preventing proper nutrition from reaching the hair roots. This impacts hair growth, causing the hair to weaken and break. Prolonged deficiency can exacerbate the problem of hair loss.

Hair is primarily composed of a protein called keratin; therefore, a protein deficiency in the body directly affects hair health. When the body does not receive sufficient protein, it prioritizes vital organs, causing hair growth to slow down. This causes hair to become thin, weak, and prone to breakage. That is why including protein in a balanced diet is crucial.

Zinc is another mineral that helps maintain a healthy scalp. It strengthens hair roots and aids in the formation of new cells. A zinc deficiency can lead to a dry scalp, increased dandruff, and accelerated hair loss.

Experts state that preventing hair loss requires not only external care but also internal nourishment. To achieve this, one should include green vegetables, fresh fruits, lentils, milk, and dry fruits in their daily diet. These foods provide the body with essential vitamins and minerals, thereby strengthening the hair roots.
