Instant Coconut Ladoo Recipe

Instant Coconut Ladoo is a delicious Indian sweet that can be prepared quickly with just a few simple ingredients. These soft, creamy ladoos are perfect for festivals, celebrations, family gatherings, or whenever you want to enjoy a homemade dessert without spending hours in the kitchen.

The best part of this recipe is that it requires minimal cooking and can be prepared in around 20 minutes. Desiccated coconut, condensed milk, cardamom, and a little ghee come together to create a rich and aromatic sweet that melts in the mouth.

Ingredients

2 cups desiccated coconut

1 cup condensed milk

1 tablespoon ghee

½ teaspoon cardamom powder

2 tablespoons milk, if required

2 tablespoons chopped almonds or cashews

Extra desiccated coconut for coating

A few saffron strands for garnish, optional

Method

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan over low heat.

Add the desiccated coconut and lightly roast it for 2 to 3 minutes. Avoid browning the coconut.

Pour in the condensed milk and mix everything well.

Add cardamom powder and chopped nuts.

Cook the mixture on low heat, stirring continuously, until it becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool until it is comfortable to handle.

Grease your palms with a small amount of ghee and take small portions of the mixture.

Roll each portion between your palms to form smooth, round ladoos.

Roll the ladoos in desiccated coconut for an attractive finish.

Garnish with saffron strands or chopped nuts and serve.

Tips for Perfect Coconut Ladoos

Use fresh, good-quality desiccated coconut for the best flavor and texture. Keep the flame low while cooking to prevent the coconut from becoming dry or changing color. If the mixture feels too dry, add a small amount of milk. If it feels too soft, cook it for another minute or two until it reaches the right consistency.

You can also add chopped pistachios, cashews, almonds, or raisins according to your preference. For a festive twist, a few saffron strands or a little rose essence can add extra aroma and flavor.

Serving and Storage

Instant Coconut Ladoos can be served at room temperature as a dessert or festive sweet. They are especially popular during Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Holi, Navratri, and other celebrations. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume them within a few days for the best taste and freshness.
