The National Health Mission (NHM), highlighting stairs as a means to achieve better fitness and energy, points out that it is often small habits that bring about significant changes. To adopt a healthy lifestyle, it is crucial to positively transform the small activities that make up our daily routine. In this context, the NHM advises choosing the stairs over the elevator to kickstart the day in a healthy manner. Every step you take leads you toward better fitness, renewed energy, and a healthier life.

However, if we make a conscious effort to cultivate the habit of climbing stairs, it can yield numerous health benefits.
