Staying up late and waking up late has become common these days. However, this habit can eventually lead to health issues. Ayurvedic tradition advises waking up during *Brahma Muhurta* (the auspicious period before sunrise). It is believed that starting the day correctly can have a positive impact on both the body and the mind.

The Ministry of AYUSH stated on the social media platform X that *Brahma Muhurta* is generally considered to be the time approximately two hours before sunrise. During this period, the atmosphere is calm, fresh, and relatively clean. After a good night's sleep, the body is well-rested, and the mind is ready to start the day with renewed energy. The serene morning environment is considered ideal for activities such as meditation, yoga, *pranayama* (breathing exercises), and introspection.

According to Ayurveda, the habit of waking up early regularly helps keep the mind alert, focused, and calm. Starting the day without haste allows a person to plan their essential tasks more effectively. Dedicating some time to oneself in the morning can also foster positive thinking and a sense of mental peace.

Activities like walking in the fresh morning air, light exercise, yoga, and *pranayama* are also highly beneficial. These practices make the body feel active and ensure an energetic start to the day.

However, merely waking up early is not enough; going to bed on time and getting adequate sleep at night is equally important. Forcing oneself to wake up very early without having completed one's sleep can lead to fatigue.

Ayurveda places great importance on an individual's physical condition and health. Therefore, if someone is suffering from illness, weakness, sleep disorders, or indigestion, it is advisable to consult an expert before making significant changes to their daily routine.
